More children are killed by unsafe water than bullets, says this report

85,7000 Children under-15 die from diarrhoea, girls are becoming victims of sexual violence as they collect water or venture out to use latrines, 72,000 under-5 die annually from illnesses linked to WASH-access problems.

In a report released by UN recently, it was revealed that more children are killed by unsafe water, than bullets. This 16-nation study into how water supplies affect children from conflicted areas shows how children are more likely to die from illnesses linked to unsafe water and bad sanitation, than from war.
